Offerings.....

Everywhere you walk you see various sizes of woven palm baskets filled with flowers, grasses, leaves, candy, bits of food, rice and personal effects along with multiple burning sticks of incense - it is a Bali Hindu tradition.  What I originally thought of as litter are the remnants of these offerings, later swept up, not always but often spread about by foot and traffic.  There is always the scent of incense and Frangipani in the air here.

  1. Seems we smelled it often in Hawaii......they didn't burn it but sold it in perfumes there, methinks.
